NAVA Book Club: Indigenous Methodologies

As part of Volume : Another Art Book Fair at Artspace in October 2017, NAVA hosted a facilitated discussion about Indigenous Methodologies and protocols in the arts with Doreen Mellor, Amala Groom, Nadeena Dixon & April Phillips.

Held in the Artspace Ideas Platform as part of Volume: Another Art Book Fair, NAVA Book Club was a facilitated discussion with artist and NAVA member Nadeena Dixon; artist and NAVA Board member Amala Groom; co-author of NAVA's 2001 publication Valuing Art, Respecting Culture Doreen Mellor, and April Phillips to discuss Indigenous protocols, current policies, methodologies and actions to take to respect the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists.


NAVA also hosted a discussion with Arts Law around the senate inquiry: Fake Art Harms Culture. Listen to the podcast of the discussion here.
