Exhibition: Un-Redact Strangers' Stories
Un-redact Strangers’ Stories brings together works addressing censored, silenced, and sensitive content, examining how predicaments are purposefully overlooked by power structures and contemporary flows of ignorance. It draws parallels between silenced ideas and knowledge in the contexts of overt censorship and epistemic suppression, calling on us to un-redact the stories of ‘strangers’ and to dismantle learned logics, opening possibilities for alternative futures.

Shivers Gallery is an independent not-for-profit gallery on Sydney Rd, Brunswick. We support experimental art and emerging artists with diverse voices and perspectives. Back to the Unconscious is our second exhibition series. It presents a collection of works that explore unconscious and emotional responses to an era of apparent irrationality, disempowerment and escapism.
