Join NAVA and Support Act for a free First Nations Information Session online, Tuesday 2 June, 12pm - 1pm AEST.
Delivered in partnership with Support Act, this information session introduces Support Act’s First Nations programs and services for First Nations practitioners working in the visual arts, craft and design sector. Support Act is Australia’s music and creative industries mental health charity, with dedicated programs supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and arts workers.
Creative practice is deeply connected to identity, community and Country, and the pressures of working in the arts can be significant. Support Act recognises that First Nations artists and arts workers deserve care that is professional, culturally informed and genuinely accessible.
The session will outline the supports available to First Nations artists and arts workers, including tailored mental health services and the free, confidential Wellbeing Helpline, which connects callers directly with First Nations counsellors.
Whether you are a practising visual artist, arts worker, or simply interested in learning more about available support services in the sector, this session offers an opportunity to ask questions, connect, and better understand the care available to First Nations practitioners.
Delivered with support from Creative Workplaces and Create NSW.
This event will be Auslan interpreted. If you have any additional access requirements, please contact catherine@supportact.org.au as soon as possible.
