Arts organisations of the future, Dr Hong-hee Kim

Dr Hong-hee Kim keynote: "In response to rapid changes, what will the arts organisations of the future look like?" Dr Hong-hee Kim is an art historian, curator and critic based in Korea and is currently the Director of Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA). Dr Kim Hong-hee is an art historian, curator and critic based in Korea. Her main field of interest is in Video and Feminist Art. Kim is the Director of Seoul Museum of Art(SeMA), followed by her position as the Director at Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art in Gyeonggi(2006-2010). She is also the founder of the alternative space “SSamzie Space” in Korea (1998-2006). Her significant professional experiences include Artistic Director of the Gwangju Biennale(2006); Commissioner of the Korean Pavilion of the 50th Venice Biennale (2003); International Committee Member of the Yokohama Triennale(2001); Commissioner of the Gwangju Biennale (2000). In 2013, Kim served as a member of the selection committee for the next documenta14 in Kassel, Germany. Kim received her Ph.D. in Art History from Hong-Ik University, Seoul, Korea and obtained her MA in Art History at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
