Calling all emerging and early-career artists! Applications are now open for HIC_ARA 2026.The Creator Incubator is proud to present the HIC Services Artist Residency Award 2026, in collaboration with the Bynon family and HIC Services.
Now in its 6th iteration, HIC_ARA offers an emerging/early-career artist located in the Hunter Region the opportunity to immerse themselves into a vibrant and diverse arts community, in their own studio (rent free) for 12-months, working alongside other emerging, established and renowned artists. Culminating in a solo exhibition at the conclusion of the residency.
For the first time the three shortlisted artists will be invited to exhibit in a finalist exhibition in the Little Gallery Space in conjunction with the solo exhibition of the current award holder Sandy Sanderson in The Big Space in March 2026.
