2026 Exhibition Callout
We are calling for applications from artists, artist collectives and curators to exhibit with us in 2026. Applications are welcome from artists, collectives, collaborators, writers and curators working in all mediums.
For 40 years M16 Artspace has supported a thriving community of emerging and established artists and curators of all ages, backgrounds and cultures to develop and exhibit new work.
Continuing this legacy, we are calling for applications from artists, artist collectives and curators to exhibit with us in 2026. Applications are welcome from artists, collectives, collaborators, writers and curators working in all mediums.
Our program values innovative exhibitions that cultivate an inclusive community and explore contemporary themes, and we encourage proposals that include engaging public programs such as artist talks, reading groups, workshops and panel discussions.
Supported by the ACT Government, our gallery offers three distinct exhibition spaces, providing a versatile and professional environment to showcase your work.

2026 Exhibitions Overview
In 2026 M16 Artspace will present a 12-month program of exhibitions across its three galleries.
Each exhibition runs for four weeks, including install and deinstall time. Exhibitions may be
accompanied by public programs such as artist talks, workshops or performances.
Exhibitions run concurrently in each gallery, so every opening night covers three exhibitions.
Exhibition proposals may nominate a single gallery or multiple galleries for a single project.
They may also nominate half of Gallery 1.
Gallery hire fees range from $677.90 to $3,048.10.
M16 Artspace provides sales support for all exhibitions and receives a 30% commission
(including GST) on works sold. Commission free rates are available on request.

Proposals are invited from curators and artists working in Canberra, interstate and internationally. Please join our mailing list to stay up to date on proposal rounds.
To be considered for an exhibition at M16 Artspace we will need you to submit an exhibition proposal through the online form below.
We encourage all applicants to download our Exhibition Application Info Pack before starting the application process. This pack provides essential guidance on the application process, terms of exhibiting, and answers to frequently asked questions to assist you in preparing your submission.
