Recently endorsed by the Australian Government as part of the new National Cultural Policy - Revive: a place for every story, a story for every place, NAVA’s Code of Practice for Visual Arts, Craft and Design sets out good practice approaches to working relationships, ethical standards of access and inclusion, and payment rates for artists and arts workers.
The government’s endorsement of NAVA’s Code is a win for our sector - but what does it mean?
NAVA in partnership with PICA is hosting an open discussion for artists and arts workers about the Code of Practice and Revive to unpack the gaps and opportunities for the visual arts.
NAVA pays respects to the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land where this event will be held. We acknowledge their continuing connection to land, their stories, artistic practices, and knowledge systems and pay respect to the Ancestors and Elders. Sovereignty was never ceded.
