Support NAVA’s First Nations leadership campaign this AusArt Day

Today is AusArt Day – help champion First Nations leadership at NAVA

Today is AusArt Day, a new national day of giving to celebrate and support the arts.

We’re calling on our community to help us raise funds to establish a Deputy Director of First Nations Policy and Advocacy at NAVA, a new senior leadership role dedicated to delivering NAVA’s First Nations Policy.

This role will ensure that First Nations voices are leading NAVA's advocacy to improve conditions of work and practice, building pathways for future leaders, and embedding cultural responsibility into everything we do.

Early this week, we were thrilled to announce a $100,000 gift from a private donor to launch this campaign. Now, we’re inviting NAVA Members, subscribers, colleagues and friends to join in and help us reach our goal.

The National Association for the Visual Arts is a tax-deductible fund listed on the Australian Government's Register of Cultural Organisations maintained under Subdivision 30-B of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.

Every donation over $2 is tax-deductible, and every contribution, large or small, will make a difference.

Prefer to discuss a major donation?

If you are considering making a larger or more strategic gift, we’d love to talk it through with you. Please contact Luke Briscoe or Penelope Benton via nava@visualarts.net.au or call 1800 046 282 to explore how your support can have the greatest impact.

The National Association for Visual Arts (NAVA) acknowledges Traditional Custodians and knowledge-holders of the lands on which NAVA staff currently live, learn and work.

The NAVA Board, artists, arts workers and communities we represent, are based across hundreds of sovereign nations and unceded lands throughout the continent that has become colonially known as Australia.

We pay our deepest respects to all First Nations communities' ancestors and Elders.

This always was, and always will be Aboriginal land.
