Philip Cox and David Holm are acclaimed architect-painters whose practices reflect a profound connection to the Australian landscape, shaped by their experiences of the South Coast and Hawkesbury River. Through distinct yet complementary approaches, their works explore the textures, forms, and emotional resonance of place.

Philip Cox and David Holm are architect-painters whose creative practices reflect a deep connection to the Australian landscape. Both are renowned architects whose built work engages with the natural environment, and this sensibility carries through into their art. Philip draws inspiration from the South Coast of New South Wales, while David is influenced by the Hawkesbury River.

Though each approaches the landscape differently, interpreting its textures, colours, patterns, and forms in their own unique ways. They share a common goal: to express the emotional resonance of the Australian environment.

Philip Cox has exhibited in both the Wynne and Sulman Prizes, and both he and David Holm have held numerous exhibitions showcasing their ongoing exploration of Australia’s diverse and powerful landscapes.

Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios is a wheelchair accessible venue via lift and ramps. Our gallery has non-slip flooring throughout and tactile paving at entrances and stairs. We have 2 unisex toilets and 1 accessible toilet with a changing table and hand rail

We are just a 5 minute walk from Lane Cove Bus Interchange. There is parking available at the local Woolworths, The Canopy, and Pottery Green carparks.
