Exhibition: Collective Mothering Opening Event
Join us at Platform Arts for the opening event of Collective Mothering on Saturday 8th August from 2:00pm–5:00pm.
Collective Mothering brings together artist-mothers whose practices explore care, kinship, and communal continuity. Through new commissions, existing works, performance, and publishing, the project considers how acts of mothering shape our relationships with ourselves, our families, our communities, and the world around us.
Proceedings:
2.00PM—5.00PM: Official opening celebrations, with access to The Grotto II and Family Collage Space drop-in art-making.
2.30PM—2.50PM: Exhibition formalities and Collective Mothering Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 publication launch.
3.00PM—4.00PM: Presentation of Rock Mass Communitas, by Emily Bowman & collaborators, in the Performance Space.
Light catering will be provided.
This opening event is free to attend, but registration is required.
