Mutha Kucha Night

Pecha Kucha nights are designed as conversation starters, giving artists a chance to share their practice and connect with the broader art community.

Platform Arts invites artists or collectives from across Western Regional Victoria to join our regular Pecha Kucha nights. Pecha Kucha is a Japanese term for chit-chat or chatter, and the slide presentation model creates a conversation-starter for artists to exchange insights on practices or projects.

Our Collective Mothering Pecha Kucha gives focus to artist-mothers, offering these multiskilled practitioners a space to present and engage with an arts audience in ways that are specific to the arts/parenting juggle.

All mother-lovers are welcome to attend, but registrations to present will be reserved for mothers, grandmothers, or other childcarers. Please ensure your slides are saved as a pdf, for compatibility. Each presenter has 5-10 minutes to display and discuss their slide content, which will be screened in the Performance Space.

Attendance is free, with sharable food contributed by the attendees. Hosted by Artistic Director Amber Smith.
