Practise Practice is a new series that invites an artist (or two) to lift the curtain on how ideas take shape. From messy drafts and detours to the sparks that turned into something bigger, it’s the side of creative process often unseen.
Each session is part conversation, part demonstration. You might leave with a new question to explore, or a small exercise to incorporate in your own creative practice.
Our first edition brings together Jamie Lewis, Matisse Laida and Nagesh Seethiah to consider food as a creative framework.
Working across performance, publishing, restaurants and community events, each approaches food as something built collectively.Together, they’ll explore how collaborative food practices can function as creative structures: kitchens as studios, tables as sites of exchange, and hospitality as a methodology.
From testing and iteration to the practical and ethical dimensions of this work, join us for a conversation asking what it means to bring people into your practice.
Light snacks will be available.
