#NAVAideas - art education

Join and participate in #NAVAideas – our interactive forums centred around key issues for the arts sector across Australia.

What is the state of art education in Australia? In amongst all these cuts, what are our opportunities? Do artists make good educators? What responsibilities do art schools have to their students? What is the impact of tertiary art education on an artists' career? How can the arts enable learning in other fields?

In the latest #NAVAideas webinars, arts practitioners and educators Pat Hoffie (Griffith), Mikala Dwyer (SCA) and Vic McEwan (Cad Factory) discuss art education, the need for different models and approaches to learning, and how artists and educators can respond to the changing landscape of education. View the videos below now.

From 12-1pm on Monday 19 September 2016 join these artists, along with provocateurs Charles Robb (QUT), Joanna Mendelssohn (UNSW A&D), Penelope Benton (NAVA) and more TBA on Twitter @navavisualarts #navaideas to address issues raised in the videos.

Be sure to hashtag #NAVAideas to participate in the conversation.
