Only $365.00 annually. This Membership comes with a heavily discounted insurance package that includes combined Professional Indemnity, Public and Products Liability, and Personal Accident. It is exclusively available for professional visual artists, craftspeople, designers, curators, installers, registrars, conservators and arts administrators.
NAVA Premium Plus Membership includes the following types of insurances:
Before applying, please read the Factsheet and Professional Assessment Criteria to ensure this policy is right for you, noting it is exclusively available for professional visual artists, craftspeople, designers, curators, installers, registrars, conservators, arts administrators and arts educators.
To qualify, complete and lodge an application which is assessed to determine your professional status. The application requires personal and work history details including an abbreviated curriculum vitae and an active ABN. Once professional status is determined, your information is given to our broker Cover for Creatives.
Applications are currently processed in 10 working days. If your application is declined you will be refunded within 10 working days. A $20.00 administration fee will be deducted from this refund.
Insurance for a group will cover individuals working under the group’s ABN. However, if you work part-time for the group and also do your own artistic work separately, you will need your own insurance for that work. Registered businesses or ABNs as partnerships, or collectives or companies can hold a single NAVA Premium Plus (PP) Membership to cover a group of up to five people. Each additional person of the group (Members 2 - 5) will be listed on the application form and must join as an individual NAVA Premium Member (with a separate NAVA account) for the full year before the Premium Plus Membership and insurance can be approved.
If you are part of a group but also run your own creative practice under a different ABN, you will need your own Premium Plus Membership, as shared insurance will not cover individual work conducted outside the group.
You will be able to access your Certificates of Currency on your Accounts page once your application has been approved.
It is important to note that while the Certificate of Currency states an expiration date of 1 April, this does not apply to your individual membership. NAVA holds one policy for all Premium Plus Members and renews this rolling insurance policy yearly on behalf of our members. You are covered by this insurance policy for as long as you are a Premium Plus Member. You can use your confirmation email or digital membership card in conjunction with the generic Certificate of Currency provided to confirm your coverage.
